Terms of use for Finnting

Last updated: 29 June 2026
Welcome to Finnting. We're glad you're here. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have tried to write them in language people actually understand. Please read them before you start using the service.
1. Acceptance of the terms
When you create an account, post a listing or otherwise use Finnting, you are also saying yes to these terms of use. If there is anything here you cannot stand behind, we ask you to refrain from using the service.
If you use Finnting on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. What Finnting is — and is not
Finnting is a facilitation platform and a meeting place. We connect people who want to buy and sell cars, property, boats and second-hand goods. That is all we do — but we do it gladly.
We are not a party to the transaction between buyer and seller. When two users agree on a deal, it is an agreement between them, not with us. Among other things, that means:
- We handle no payments and do not receive or pass on money.
- We do not own, do not control and do not quality-assure the goods or services advertised.
- We give no guarantees that an item exists, is as described, is legal to sell, or that a transaction will be completed.
- Responsibility for the item, the payment, the delivery and the settlement lies with the buyer and the seller, who deal directly with each other.
3. Your account and your responsibility
To use parts of Finnting you need an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing correct and up-to-date information about yourself.
- Keeping your login credentials to yourself.
- Telling us if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
4. Permitted and prohibited content
We want Finnting to be a safe and tidy place to be. That is why some things do not belong here. You must not:
- Post illegal goods or services, or things you are not allowed to sell (for example weapons, drugs, stolen goods or items in breach of Norwegian law).
- Create false or misleading listings, or state an incorrect price, condition or information.
- Engage in spam, fraud, phishing or attempts to deceive other users.
- Post content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, or use images and text you are not permitted to use.
- Publish content that is hateful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or otherwise offensive.
- Attempt to circumvent, hack or overload the service.
5. Rules for listings
When you post a listing, we ask you to:
- Describe the item honestly and adequately — show both the nice parts and the wear and tear.
- Choose the right category and enter an accurate price.
- Use your own photos or photos you have the right to use.
- Remove or update the listing when the item is sold or no longer available.
- Not post the same listing over and over to climb the lists.
6. Disclaimer — the service is provided «as is»
Finnting is provided «as is» and «as available». The service may at times have errors, downtime, missing features and changes without notice.
We give no guarantees that the service will always be available, error-free, secure or fit for a particular purpose. Nor do we guarantee the quality, accuracy or legality of listings and user content.
7. Intellectual property rights
The Finnting name, the logo, the design and the platform itself belong to Finnting. You may use the service, but you may not copy, resell or exploit it without an agreement with us.
The content you post yourself remains yours. By posting it you grant Finnting a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store, display, adapt (for example scale images) and make the content available in the service, for as long as the listing is active.
8. Moderation and removal
To keep things tidy we reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to:
- Edit, hide or delete listings and content that breach these terms or Norwegian law.
- Restrict, suspend or close accounts in the event of abuse.
- Remove content we consider harmful, illegal or inappropriate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, Finnting is not liable for:
- Loss, damage or disputes arising between buyer and seller.
- Items that are not delivered, are defective, illegal or not as described.
- Lost payments, fraud or unsettled transactions.
- Indirect loss, consequential damage, lost profit or loss of data.
- Downtime, errors or loss of content in the service.
10. Governing law and venue
These terms and your use of Finnting are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall first be sought resolved amicably. If that is not possible, the dispute will be decided by the Norwegian courts, with the defendant's ordinary venue (verneting) as the proper venue, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
11. Changes to the terms
The terms may change. In the event of material changes we will try to notify you in a reasonable way, for example within the service. If you continue to use Finnting after the changes have taken effect, we regard that as your acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Contact
Wondering about something, or want to report a breach of the terms? Please get in touch — we'd like to hear from you.
